I went to Maru Korean restaurant in Charminster for the second time. I have enjoyed trying different dishes yet again, and their big casseroles look interesting as well. Spotted this blog that shows a 12 course Korean dinner at a restaurant in Atlanta, USA.Take Thou Food blog.

An interesting programme has started on Channel 4. It marks the return of The Family which films a household through their daily life and dramas. The first episode stars with the Grewals facing the a little bit of an issue of the wedding of their son to his fiance. She moved in abut 5 years previous and had a falling out with her mother. A case of parental expectations and the caste system. This seems very interesting already and the family are a bunch of characters, as they would have to be for a TV show otherwise it would be pretty boring wouldn't it.

Why can't I find the perfect al dente non-gloopy sauce Spaghetti Carbonara anywhere? I found it once but have never seen it again: Batastini's Cafe, Bournemouth There must be one Italian restaurant in the Dorset area that can do it like mamma makes it.

Let's raise a glass of wine to trail blazer and hell raiser.
Straight talking to the end. The recent Keith meets Keith programme was probably a fitting tribute. He did a lot to bring international cuisine to our TVs in a very authentic way.

One of our contributors, Gordon Fong, has been offered a complimentary meal for two at the Highcliffe Grill in the Marriot Hotel, Bournemouth. The nice marketing person e-mailed with the offer in return for a review. That's what we like here at efnic.co.uk

This is probably going on the back of the recent news, or shocking news about how much food we waste each year.
Although it is prevalent in the US to take your leftover food from restaurants home it seems an embarrassment here. I think this attitude should change as it means that less food waste as the restaurant will just chuck it in the bin, means you can have something that you paid for in full to take home and there should be no embarrassment as in a way you are saying to the chef, we like it so much we are taking it home. Let's just do it, even for so called posher restaurants. Check out Hoo Fernling Wittinstall.
