This Japanese samurai film featuring Takeshi Kitano is good fun to watch in terms of the sword action, the humour, the storyline and the various twists. It wasn't overly stylised in the fight scenes. It just got back to basics. I found myself laughing out loud to daft comic things. My favourite was when the wanabee samurai was trying to teach some sword techniques to a couple of locals and it all ended up as some kind of slapstick Laurel and Hardy affair with everyone hitting him over the head.
If you want the DVD you can get Zatoichi from Amazon UK. Add a Comment |

At last, we have now launched our new web site. Why, you may ask. Well I have done it so a lot more people can share news and information on stuff, whether it is tips on restaurants, bars or films. This is a resource for you people to contribute to. In the beginning we are just limiting this to "friends" we know, but once we get the content level up and if more people are interested, we may open it up to approved applicants. Have a look at the Contribute page for more details on how to join in. It's always better to hear about things from real people as opposed to the advertorial sites and those pesky staff members bigging up their own business. Even if you are not a signed up contributor you can add comments onto the articles by other people. Click on the Recent Items link to take to all things new from the efnic team. |

A great chain of Portugese chargrilled chicken restaurants. They have a selection of different strength Peri Peri sauce, like west Indian pepper sauce. You choose a strength and your chicken is marrianaded in it. There's a selection of extras such as Peri Peri chips, corn cobs, rice and salad. It's all served up fast and you get all the soft drink refills you can take. Add a Comment (2 Comments) |

Great martial arts movie 8 Dec 2006 - Saw this again but this time on a Friday night at home on DVD whilst her indoors was out watching Little Britain down at Bournemouth BIC. No talking, no questioning, just me on a Friday night with a bottle of red wine watching this amazing and beautiful movie. I didnt; catch some of the nuances and subtleties first time time but it was very moving all and wonderfully shot. Add a Comment |
