Wagamama Me and Angela went on the first preview night before the real opening for paying customers on Wednesday. The site of the former MVC video and music shop has been transform into a bright and airy Wagamama restaurant. The huge clear glass windows at the front revealed a place full of people easting away. The lighting was well done so that was not over-empowering and the crisp interior design made it all very slick and modern inside. Add a Comment (1 Comments) |

158 Commercial Road, Bournemouth. Tel: 01202 318 900
I have passed this place so many times since we moved to Bournemouth. We've also said many times that we must try it, so we finally did.
We've been on holiday to Portugal twice and once to Madeira, so it was nice to meet up with a couple of friends in this Portuguese restaurant, which I believe is the only one in Bournemouth. I think there is a small Portuguese bar in Boscombe though.

In case you have a few hours to kill and want to read a few blogs and check out some seriously great photos, then try these links to some web sites and blogs regarding visits the famous Fat Duck restaurant in Bray. The food looks absolutely amazing and supposedly takes three and a half hours to get through the whole menu. Would love to go here one day but will have to save up... Add a Comment (1 Comments) |

I spotted that Wagamama are coming to Bournemouth down on Westover Road, just up from Hot Wok incidentally so a bit of competition there. Actually probably not competition as Wagamama will be ahead in terms of quality, if the franchise maintains its strict standards.
The food and the menu is pretty mainstream but it does what it needs to do.
