Sounds odd I know but South Deep Cafe is a small (very small!) cafe at the Parkstone Bay Marina. South Deep is an area in Poole Harbour for those who wonder. The cafe serves the small marina by day but in the evenings serves food and drinks. Wine and beer list is limited but enough but the food is good. Thursday nights is Tapas night and costs only £6 per person, you get one or everything and a dish of rice or similar. It's good food and good value. From 7pm.
The chef is Stephané and used to be head chef at The Cow in Parkstone, next to the station. Friday is set menu night, 2 courses and £12.50. An example menu shows three starter options, three mains (steak, sea bass or chicken) and Créme brulee & sorbe, strawberries with ice cream or cheeses. Well worth a visit! http://www.southdeepcafe.co.uk/ - (web site in progress ;) )
