Having gained confidence from the success of the first series, the comedy of Gavin and Stacey on BBC3 just gets better. One of my favourite segments is when Smithy called in on Gavin's house and broke into song - World in Motion . Add a Comment |

Methinks that Gillian McKeith aint all that. What with a Masters and Ph.D. she couldn't tell the difference between sh*t and a crushed up Mars bar! Jeez. I bet the manufacturers and their PR department aren't pleased. All a bit embarrassing really. She was on the Friday Night with Jonathan Ross show and she was wriggling around, pulling a face, asking for a mask when Rossy was waving a plastic box of pretend poo. In the end he picked one up and took a bite. Fake poo. Maybe not the only thing that is fake, but hey, that is just my own personal viewpoint. Add a Comment |

He is nuts in a very funny way. I can't believe that he has a show on Radio 2. I thought he would be more of a person for Radio 1 listeners, but then again he doesn't play much music and just rambles on for ages. Compared to his current run of the Ponderland TV show on Channel 4 this is positively clean-mouthed. I am not sure whether the show is live or not on a Saturday night but he seems to be able to cut out the swearing but goes off at very strange tangents, like he does. He went down this racism track on Saturday night and it was just funny. Add a Comment |

I was watching Bruce Parry's Tribe programme on BBC2 last night and it was about the Penan people in Malaysia and their plight with losing their living environment to the local loggers. it is good to see that some action is happening. You could see the desperation on the faces of the people who were very passionate about their culture. NEWS: The Malaysian authorities have told a timber company they will lose its licence to log on the land of the nomadic Penan, unless it resolves its long-running conflict with the tribe - http://www.survival-international.org/news/2506

I just got a new Onkyo 515 stereo from Currys . It had a excellent review in What Hi-Fi and also the Currys web site had a £5 discount, but you can still pick it up in-store. On testing it, it all sounded pretty good. Well, better that the big portable thing that was being used in the dining room. The equipment aside, I quickly found a station that I liked and could leave on all night long whilst milling around cooking, eating and sitting out in the garden. The radio station is Chill and is only on DAB. Click for Chill Official Website. Add a Comment |
