An interesting programme has started on Channel 4. It marks the return of The Family which films a household through their daily life and dramas. The first episode stars with the Grewals facing the a little bit of an issue of the wedding of their son to his fiance. She moved in abut 5 years previous and had a falling out with her mother. A case of parental expectations and the caste system. This seems very interesting already and the family are a bunch of characters, as they would have to be for a TV show otherwise it would be pretty boring wouldn't it.

Most reality TV programmes tends to provide us with a platform to laugh and ridicule at people put on for our very own entertainment. I caught the last two episodes of Famous, Rich and Homeless from the BBC. It was very interesting. It showed some celebrities, although I wouldn't say they were A listers, put onto the street and experiencing the lives of the homeless. It had the involvement of John Bird the creator of the Big Issue who himself lived that life previously. A flashpoint in the series centred around when the celebrities came back from being on the streets and John Bird raised the issue that they were trying too hard to fix the homeless people's problems in 3 days. This didn't go down well with the actor that plays Les Battersby in Corination Street or Annabel Croft. Add a Comment |

Just flicking through the TV I am always pleasantly surprised by the sensitivity and emotion of the deeds carried out in the Secret Millionaire. Always very touching and with a story that connects. Once finished I then spot the Dragon's Den and have no desire to watch it whatsoever. That kind of TV is only there to see people squirm or make people squirm for entertainment. A tale of two stories. One showing the good that money can do and the other just showing greed and arrogance.

Spooks Series 7 DVD I think Spooks is one of the best drama series on the TV recently. This last series, number 7, was over too quickly.
Still using the old series DVDs to help with passing the time away whilst ironing!
