This is a very funny programme for adults and kids alike. The dafter the myth the better the rebuttal. On BBC2 Thursday nights. Mythbusters explained.
On one espisode they want to dispel the urban myth that someone could be on the toilet and then drop a lit cigarette into the toilet bowl and with the deadly butt fumes having built up, would cause an explosion to blow the person off the seat and crack the pan! Absolutely funny to watch them set up a demo with wooden dummy sitting on a toilet and everything was held within a safety perspex enclosed area. There was a mechanical grabber that held a lit cigarette which would drop into the pan on cue. They tried things like hairspray, lighter fuel, gunpowder etc in the bowl with a modicum of success but nothing spectacular. They seem to always have to go the whole-hog and blow everything up for the hell of it. Powered by AkoComment! |
